Services

Laboratory services.

Four areas of work, produced in one laboratory, to one standard, by technicians who specialize by area of expertise.

Finished dental restorations on a tray before final inspection

Fixed restorations

Ceramic, porcelain-fused-to-metal, full metal, composite and provisional restorations — from single units to multi-unit bridgework. Zirconia, IPS e.max, IPS Empress, Tescera and Cristobal+ are all on the prescription, with alloy specified separately for full metal and ceramic work.

See fixed restorations for each material and what it asks of the preparation.

Implant restorations

Implant crowns and bridges, custom abutments, titanium bases, tissue models and attachment castings, with screw-retained, cement-retained and hybrid approaches.

Implant cases need component detail that geometry cannot carry — manufacturer, product line, platform, connection and intended retention. The implant case checklist covers the set.

Removable prosthetics

Cast and acrylic partials, complete, immediate and over dentures, Valplast flexible partials, and the full range of procedures — custom trays, bite blocks, frame and set-up try-ins, finish, reline, rebase and repair.

Removable work is staged, and the prescription is written one stage at a time. See removable prosthetics.

Orthodontic and occlusal appliances

Retainers in Hawley and clear designs, night guards hard or thermal, occlusal splints including TMJ appliances, sport guards, bleaching trays and sleep appliances.

Appliances are made to the same records standard as restorative work, because one that does not fit will not be worn. See orthodontic laboratory and removable prosthetics.

For denturists and other laboratories

Alongside dental practices, Fairmont provides professional services to denturists and to other dental laboratories — restorative casting, ceramic and finishing support handled under the same quality controls.

Alloy identification certificates are supplied on request and every product is disinfected before dispatch, so your own documentation and infection control obligations stay complete.

Pricing

Competitive across the range, and sent on request. Material is the largest single factor and precious metal content moves with the metals market rather than staying fixed.

How cases reach us

Fairmont is a preferred iTero laboratory, designated by Align Technology, and accepts cases from 3Shape TRIOS, Medit, Primescan and CEREC, Carestream and any system exporting open STL. Conventional impressions are equally welcome.

Cases move by UPS and Purolator in both directions, and we work with dental offices throughout British Columbia and across Canada from the laboratory in Burnaby.

See sending a case for what has to travel with it.

Quality control on every case

Every case is inspected under the microscope at two stages — after the wax-up and again after the frame is finished — so the degree of fit is verified before any aesthetic work begins.

Alloy identification certificates are provided for your records, and every appliance and product is disinfected before dispatch.

Whether the case is a single crown or a full-mouth reconstruction, it moves through the same procedures. See quality assurance.

About the laboratory

About Fairmont covers the history and standards. Why dentists choose Fairmont sets out the case, and our team explains how the work is organized.
